Summarise any YouTube video
A two-hour podcast, a lecture or a long news video usually has five or six ideas worth keeping. Paste the link, or share it from the YouTube app, and TellBrief gives you those ideas in simple points. Each point has a timestamp: tap it and the video opens at the moment it was said, so you can check it yourself.
What TellBrief tells you
- The key ideas of the video in simple points, not a wall of text
- A timestamp on every point that opens the video at that moment
- The summary in English, Hindi or Hinglish, whatever the video's language
- Answers to your own questions about the video, and Listen to hear it read aloud
Words you'll see
- Captions
- The subtitles a video has. TellBrief reads them when they exist, so most videos brief in seconds.
- No captions
- TellBrief turns the speech into text first. This uses your plan's recording minutes.
- Timestamp
- The time in the video a point comes from, like 14:05. Tap it to watch that part.
- Brief
- TellBrief's summary: the main points first, then key facts and anything to watch out for.
Questions
How do I summarise a YouTube video?
Copy the video's link, paste it into TellBrief and tap Brief. On a phone you can also tap Share in the YouTube app and choose TellBrief once it's installed.
Can I get a Hindi summary of an English video?
Yes. Pick हिंदी, English or Hinglish and the brief comes in that language, whatever language the video is in.
Does it work on long videos and podcasts?
Yes. Long videos are where it saves the most time. Every point links back to its moment, so nothing is taken on trust.
Is it free?
Yes. Every account gets free briefs every month, and a YouTube video counts as one brief, however many questions you then ask within your plan.
