TellBrief turns YouTube videos into simple summaries. This page explains what we collect when you use it and why.
What we collect
- Your Google account basics. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile photo. We use them to create your account and show who's signed in. We don't get your password or access to anything else in your Google account.
- The videos you summarise. We store which YouTube videos your account has summarised and how many questions you've asked about each, so we can apply your plan's limits.
- Summaries and transcripts. We save each video's public transcript and the summary we generate, so the next person who opens the same video gets it instantly. These aren't linked to you.
- Payment interest. If you tap “Notify me” on a plan, we save your email and the plan you chose so we can tell you when payments open.
- Your questions and answers. Questions you ask in the chat box and the answers TezAI gives are kept for 90 days, linked to your account, so we can fix wrong answers and improve the service. They're deleted automatically after that.
- Activity. When you sign in, when you open each video, and how much AI processing each request used, so we can run the service and keep costs in check.
Listening. When you tap Listen, the summary or answer is turned into speech by Microsoft Azure, and the audio is kept so it plays instantly next time. We note what you listened to, to count your plan's voice minutes. If those run out, your own device reads the text instead and nothing is sent anywhere for that.
Only the people who run TezAI can see this, and only to operate and improve it.
Who processes it
- TezAI, our summary engine, uses Anthropic's Claude models to write summaries and answers from the video's transcript.
- Microsoft Azure turns summaries and answers into speech when you tap Listen.
- For videos without captions, ElevenLabs (or, as a backup, Google Gemini) turns the video's speech into text. Supadata fetches public captions.
- Vercel hosts the website and Neon stores the database.
- Google handles sign-in.
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time. To delete your account and everything linked to it, email tejasjaintwelve@gmail.com from the address you signed in with and we'll remove it within 30 days.
